 SCAR RESURFACING + LIGHTENING FAQ's

Q&A

Q: How does this treatment work?

A:  With a rotary tattoo machine we deposit a serum blend that will remove existing layers of damaged scar tissue to allow new, healthier skin to regenerate. The results will reveal a smoother and lighter scar, making your scar less noticeable. No Ink is used for this service.

Q: How old do scars and stretch marks need to be in order to treat?

A:   At least 1 yr old and fully healed; 6 months for Liposuction scars

Q: How many sessions will I need?

A: 2 full sessions are needed but the number of sessions varies depending on the severity of the case. (Keep in mind our Initial treatment comes with a free “touch-up” session.  In some instances, up to 4 sessions may be required.

Q: What does the healing process look like?

A: The treated scars will be bright red, swollen and perhaps a little tender to the touch. You may also experience some light peeling and as the healing progresses the area will begin to dry and scab which may cause you to be slightly itchy. All of the above is normal.

Q: What kind of scars can you treat?

A:  Moist dark and textured scars, including but not limited to: Breast Surgical Scars; Lipo Scars; BBL Scars; Tummy Tuck Scars; Brachioplasty Scars; Mommy Makeover Scars; Injury Scars, C-Section Scars, and more.

Q: Can you camouflage dark scars instead?

A:  Scars must be light in order for us to camouflage; therefore for dark scars we must perform the Scar Resurfacing + Lightening treatment first in order to lighten and prepare the scars  for Camouflage ink tattoo.

Q: How quickly will I see the final results?

A:  On average, it takes 45-60 days, but if you’re prone

Q: How soon can I schedule my next session?

A: Once fully healed, typically 4-6 weeks apart.

Q: What to wear on my day of treatment?

A: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
