SCAR + STRETCH MARK CAMOUFLAGE FAQ’s

  • How does this treatment work? Flesh-toned pigments are safely deposited into the scars or stretch marks by using a tattooing method making them blend in with the surrounding skin.  A custom made pigment color is made for each client on the day of the appointment

  • How old do scars and stretch marks need to be in order to treat?  Scars - at least 2 yrs old, Stretch Marks must be at least 1 year old

  • How many sessions will I need?  2 full sessions are needed but the number of sessions vary depending on the severity of the case. (Keep in mind our Initial treatment comes with a free “touch up” session.  In some instances up to 4 sessions may be required.

  • Can I get camouflage if I am tanned?  Because we are preparing a mixture of flesh-toned pigments to match your skin tone, it is important that you are not tanned and you have the closest to your natural skin color at the time of the treatment.

  • Will my scars be completely gone?  The treatment is meant to conceal or camouflage them only. There is nothing available to completely eliminate them. This treatment will greatly improve the appearance but there is a chance if you look very closely you will still be able to see them.

  • What does the healing process look like? There is no downtime but you will experience redness and swelling immediately after the procedure for the first 5 days.  Over the next 8 – 12 weeks the redness will subside and the areas that were treated will go through a variety of shades (from dark to light) until your skin heals. Remember to carefully follow all aftercare instructions we provided.  This is a process so please be patient and trust the process.

  • What kind of stretch marks can you treat? Stretch marks that are at least 1 years old, completely healed,  white/silverish color. (lighter than your natural skin color)

  • Which areas do you treat?  Anywhere you have stretch marks, Abdomen, Back, Thighs, Buttocks, Hips, Upper Arms, Behind the knees, legs, Flanks, Calves and Breasts.

  • What kind of scars can you treat? Scars that are at least 2 years old, that are not keloid and that are not too dark. With that being said, this includes but is not limited to  most surgical scars,  self-harm scars,  post-cosmetic surgery scars (Tummy tucks, breast surgery scars, , BBL scars, face lift scars),  c-section scars, lipo scars, etc.

  • How quickly will I see the final results? On average, it takes 45-60 days, but if you’re prone to hyperpigmentation (you naturally scar dark), it will most likely take longer to heal. Please be patient and trust the process.
